New bullet regs for deer

So with the new bullet regulations, what kind of bullets will be legal that you can shoot out of a rifle?

Got a link to the specific regs you're referring to?  I'm curious if the 10mm is allowed now.

I, too, have not heard of any new bullet regs. Are you referring to the years old change that allows pistol caliber rifles?

Thanks, Dinny

I thought I read where they were either adding to or thinking of adding to the existing bullet list.

Any chance when you say "bullet", you mean "cartridge"?  If that's the case, there has been some talk of extending the case length to 1.8" That would allow the 460 S&W, to name just one.

Thanks, Dinny

The 1.8" length, if it passes, would enable the .35 Rem to be used if trimmed to length. I believe that they are 1.92. There would be enough neck left to use. Although I don't know if they would cycle in a lever gun.

I'm thinking of possibly reaming a .357 Handi barrel if this comes to pass.

Why not ream the handi barrel to .357 Maxi, you're not losing much off the 35 Rem. ;)

Thanks, Dinny

Already have a max. Just thinking of reasons why I might "need" to buy another Handi! ;D

And the truth finally comes out.  Amazing how many times we "need" a new gun.   :)

That is a very good reason and one that will never be argued with. :)
