I just heard on CBS News that Michelle Obama is on vacation with her daughter, I think they said in Spain, and staying in a hotel where rooms run $300 to $6,000 dollars a night and is taking up 60 rooms, it's costing $146,000 dollars round trip for just the travel costs, and $95,000 for Secret Service room and board! That's $241,000 minimum, not including the hotel bill for her and her friends, all for her and her daughter to go on yet another vacation. They are calling her the black Marie Antoinette, who said her starving subjects could eat cake! This is a prime example of what I've been talking about pollititions flagrantly wasting money. Particularly at a time so many hard working folks are losing their homes. It's shameful  and a slap in every one of our faces and my question is why we are puting up with it? It's funny though, how the one black lady they asked about it was the ONLY person to see nothing wrong with the wasting of our taxpayer dollars. Gee imagine that!

Now I can see where we, the tax payers, would have to foot the bill for the secret service to protect the first lady and maybe the plane and vehicles.  One or two of her staff.
But her vacation is her vacation and her personal, family, and friends rooms, meals and shoping should not be on the US tax payers dime.
But these people think they were corinated rather than ellected and show they have no class, sense of honor, and think the US owes them.
Did you hear her husband today in Chicago at the FORD plant.
He saved the US auto industry by bailing out GM and Chrystler.  Ford did not take bail out money.
The best way to save the US auto market is to LOWER taxes, loosen restrictions, remove any and all gas guzzler and luxury taxes on cars.
Of course this nimrod does not under stand how taxes kill jobs and kill production.  With out the production and jos, taxes fall.
Of course he and his wife are spending tax  like hillbillys with lottery money.  (Sorry to all you hillbillys that have won the lottery or have Gas and coal $ like my father's relitives in WV, I ment no offense) but they spend wildly trying to buy votes and have no reguard for how much they really have to spend or how to make what they have last for future generations.  Unlike the hillbillys with 6 tripple wide trailers  and Mercedes Benz 600's they are using our money and our kids, grandkids and great grandkids will be hung with the burden of having to pay it back.  Thinking the instant gradification is better than investing in the future.

Attaboys to Oldshooter and Spirithawk.  How anyone could equate the two is absolutely idiotic.  The President is, after all, the Commander in Chief of the armed forces.  And, in any event, how much DOES it cost to land a plane on an aircraft carrier?  Seems to me that I remember something about that being occasionally done.

Ya think mrsobama is proud of her country now that she is sitting on the beach in the south of Spain telling her bffs that "we" can eat cake!  Bush went to Maine and to his ranch in Texas that he and his family owned before he was president. Can't remember Barbara nor Laura flying off to anywhere for vacation with 40 or so of there their bffs and closing the beach down to others. All you obama lovers should reflect on what is going on now. Like the oil drilling moratorium that is destroying the economy's of the gulf States. When a plane crashes they don't shut down air travel! This ain't about ecology its about obama's agenda. The trip to Spain is just another "in your face we be the boss now moves".

They have also had almost non-stop parties at the whitehouse with all kinds of Holywood stars and musicians.  This is also expensive.  He and his wife and kids have traveled more than any other prez.  He also has his MIL living at the whitehouse.  He doesn't care about the unemployed, only about himself.  He is very egotistical.

I'm no Bush supporter, but once the economy began it's downward spiral he kept the vast majority of his vacations to the Crawford Ranch and Camp David, maybe an occasional Martha's Vinyard, but at least within the US.  Didn't the Obama's get back from vacation a month ago?  I guess attending all the ball's in DC is exhausting, so one must go to Spain to attend their balls.    I also don't remember Mrs. Bush + daughters going gallivanting across the world.  Doesn't mean it didn't happen, I just don't remember it.

It's the mentality of those in power, even the "fixes" they have in place have the same mentality. Jobs get fewer, they keep the same or worse tax burdens on those few left working, take that money and pump it back into the states to re-hire to hold up jobs that are funded by taxes, teachers, police, fireman, ect...(union jobs, thought I'd mention it)...nothing for any private jobs that hold it ALL up.  I'm not knocking these tax payer funded jobs at all by saying this, I'm just pointing out the math and logic and mentality here will not help anything get better. You want to keep the above, you get out of the way of the private sector, they fund everything.

Yahoo news said that Spain cleared the beach so michelle could sun herself and the daughter could swim. Next they'll meet the king and queen at their summer house. There is also a big difference between a President doing something related to his Job as commander and chief and The President's wife (not the president ) taking 40 of her friends on a rock star vacation while the country is in a ression.  Mind you the vaccation is not at a premier US location but at a European destination.  But the left can do no wrong.
Case in point.  Rush's wedding was touted by the left as a waste of money but Clintoon pawning his ugly daughter off on some Evil wall street type that they railed against their whole presidenty was a camalot wedding and a much needed boost to the economy and the moral of the nation.
Either high end weddign are a waist or they are not, you can not have it both ways.
Either this President is over stepping his bounds by going on vaccation every month, playing golf, or spending tax payer $ having lavish parties, concerts, and shoping trips.  imaging the hissy fit the press would have had if Mrs Bush had taken her two daughters to a high end store in DC to buy them clothes for college or a prom dress let alone fly to NY, CA, or Chiago for a shopping trip.

There was a poll reported this morning on KSFO (San Fran talk) that showed the people of Lousiana were in higher favor of how President Bush handled Katrina than how BHO has handled the Gulf spill.  People would believe him more if he did not say" I will not rest till.." and then go paly golf, go on vaccation, or have a party at the white house for his supporters and friends.
