Recent trade for a 629
« on: August 06, 2010, 05:37:45 AM »
I recently traded for this S&W 629-4. A fine young man decided he would rather have a Taurus OSS 45 than this old 629. It was a hard trade to make I hope I did'nt take to hard a lick on it!!! ;) Maybe it will be a good shooter.

You really have my deepest sympathy for getting stuck with that old 629 ;D Seriously, if it shoots like mine, it was the best trade you ever made!

Keep a close eye on the fellow you traded with. He has the potential and obvious intelligence to run for the presidency as a Democrat.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

Any S&W that ends with 29 is a .44mag. The 6 means stainless.

You know the best of this is He's actually a gun dealer in the next town from the one I live in. I've done business with him before but, never any deals like this. I thought for sure I had a lemon of some kind. But after the trip to the range it sure looks like a keeper. So since he is suppose to be a dealer I think I lost about a nano second of sleep maybe! ::) Come to think of it I bought a winchester model 69A target 22 from him that was original with target peep sight in about 95% conition in January for $175.00. ;D And at the time I had no idea what they were selling for until I checked on an a couple of auction sites GEE! Some were going for as much as $400.00+. I got it cause I just like old 22's. Soon as I get the bullets I ordered to load up for the 629 I'm going to put it through the ringer and see what it's capable of. ;D

I have a 629 Classic and I love it! Super accurate and with some light reloads, the kid loves it!
He told his mom that it was his gun, and she could have my 686. She said okay.

I'm just wondering why they had this conversation while I was sleeping.... ???

I'm afraid of letting her shoot my new S&W 610 10mm revolver, but with 40S&W loads. She might take it also....
