went to the buddys gunshop and he had a round top 77rs in 7mag that looked absolutely unfired. Asked him the price and he said he had 400 in it and would take that so i had to break out the check book.

I went to a gun show in Missoula this weekend and they wanted more than $400  for 77's that looked like they had been used to break up fighting wolverines.

this one ended up shooting like crap so i took it and a ultralight 257 that also was a poor performer to the local gunshop and traded them on a 700 in 300 mag and three scopes. sure am tired of fooling with finiky ruger bolt guns.

I had a ruger 7MM Mag some yers ago that I traded for It was a fantasrtic shooter. Mainly traded it as a piece of trading bait as I also had a Rem 700 7MM Mag that also was a tack driver. In my 73 years I have learned for a out of the box performer you can't beat a Rem or a  New Savage and I think Savage is taking the lead in the accuracy department. Lou
