New Handi Owner from New York
« on: August 10, 2010, 05:09:04 AM »
Hi All,

I've spent some time lurking on this forum and figured it was about time I participated.

I really enjoy reloading, shooting, and hunting as well as meeting others with the same interests.

Last month I took the plunge and bought a handi rifle in 308 win with a heavy barrel and the synthetic camo stock.  Unfortunately I was getting light primer strikes and misfires so right now it's on its way to Ilion for repairs (which is only about an hour and a half from here).

While its there I'm having them fit a 223 and 357 mag barrel to the frame.  I'm very interested in reaming the 357 to Max.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions and opinions for this forum and I look forward to participating.

I'm at 12198 now, but I grew up north of you near Geneva.  I still make it back to the area every month or two to visit my parents and do some hunting and fishing.

Spanky and FLNT4EVER are from out in your neck of the woods. If you spend any time at all here on GBO i'm sure you'll get to know them.

Welcome to the internet home of a great bunch of folks and a few old farts.
Hope your time here is enjoyable.

I've got me a couple Handi's also.
A .223 & a 45-70 BC.
Both fine little rifles.
