Any experience with White Hot powder pellets?

I'm not a big fan of needing to clean my encore after 3 shots using black powder or 777 pellets.  I tried the blackhorn 209 and it was better, but I've heard that the white hots are just as good and even cleaner.

Any thoughts?

Teddy12b,

I consider myself to still be a beginner on BP anything but if you quit using the 777 pellets and start using some kind of loose powder you will not have to clean as often and find you can get better accuracy(sp) with loose BP or subsitute.  I premeasure into the available preload tubes and it is as easy or easier than using the pellets.  Never say never but I don't see any pluses in going back to using pellets.

imr white hots come nothing close to blackhorn209!  the white hots still leave a crud ring but are accurate and consistent.

If I am not mistaken the white hots are the same as triple seven  just white instead of black. For me nothing comes close to blackhorn 209 powder. If you use the proper solvents such as Hoppes to clean with and make sure the bore is clean and dry before shooting I haven't found anything better. If I had to go back to Triple seven I would spend the money and have a smokeless barrel made for my Encore.

What TRM-1 said. I tried a bunch of different powders and pellets, and BH 209 is the current leader of the "no crud", easy to clean, and most accurate with the same bullet and primer. I even sold my old ML and bought a new one to use BH 209 in exclusively. Just fix up some premeasured loads, and it will be as easy as pellets to load.
