Striker springs for Models 98 and 95

Has anybody replaced their standard striker spring with an aftermarket one? Was there enough difference to justify the added expense,albeit small?

Yes, I've replaced a couple of my Mauser firing pin springs using ones made by Wolf that I think I got from Midway.  They did make a difference.  Pretty much eliminated missfires with surplus ammo I shoot occassionaly.

Did you get heavier than standard springs? Was also wondering if they improve lock time noticably. Not so much an issue with the 98. The sriker fall on the 95 is so long,it takes some getting used to/. I don't want to use one of the cock on opening kits, cause it is a non issue with me.

Been a couple of years since I installed the springs and they were in 98s.   But, seem to remember I did go with a slightly stronger/heavier spring on my 98 mausers.
