H & R 308 With Camo Stock?

I bought one from Dick's last year and had to part with it.  I know that they were made for Dick's only, at least that what I was told.  They have now discontinued them and Dick's will not be getting any more in.  I was searching and I see that there are a few combo 270, 444 marlin out there.  Anyone know if these were special made as well, or can I get them from H & R?

That's an old combo, see the serial number prefix in the serial number, X= 2007. It has a 24" fluted 270 bull barrel, I have one, it's very overbore at .280" instead of .277", so I wouldn't recommend it unless you handload, they don't offer it any more. There's supposed to be a .444/35 Rem combo someday, no word on it from the distributor that is offering it yet.

I was at Dick's today & they had some Camo Handis in 223, 22-250 & 308.  So I checked out a Camo Savage Edge in 22-250, a Camo Rem 700 SPS Varmint ADL and some Rossi single shots too.

I went to Ellett Brother's web site and saw a 270/444 combo listed but not the 35 remington. I hope the 35/444 combo is not a rumor.

Best guess is it was canceled, the 35 Remington Handi was slated for production about a year ago, but the 35 Whelen pretty much preempted it as far as H&R/Remington is concerned, it was canceled after insufficient distributor preorders were placed, same thing that happened to the Handi-Mags in 2008.  

If you really want a 35 Remington, get a 357mag accessory barrel fitted to an SB2 frame and have it rechambered by your gunsmith.
