I do not have a chronograph, so I was wondering if anyone knows, or has an idea of the MV of a 38-55 cartridge shooting a 265gr gas checked bullet over 10.8 grains of Unique flying through a 24" barreled Marlin 336 Cowboy. Based on reloading data I have found I'm guessing it's around 1400, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone knows. Thanks in advance.

FWIW, the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook lists the 269gr #375296 with 7gr @ 935fps, and 9gr @ 1080fps, in a 29" barrel.
