the us should stop all money going out of the US that has not been earned. they are giving away your (our) monry to people we don't know or care about. let them make it on their own like we have all our lives. if we stop buying oil for a couple days price would drop.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I think you've thrown a bunch of issues into the pot and stirred up a stew of misconception.  There is charity, which I believe should come from individual and organizaional contributions and then there is foreign aid that should sometimes be given if it is in our best interest and yes, sometimes even based on humanity. 

Sometimes our best interest is to help our friends and sometimes it might be to help some who may not be friends, but could turn out to be enemies if we fail to help out.  We don't need any more enemies and sometimes a little preventative medicine can save a huge cost later down the road.  Each situation should be treated on its merit and not some general policy.

Actually the U.S has no money to give anyone, they are broke and in debt in the trillions, so the reasons for doing it is irrelevant, there is simply no money to send anyone.  The fact they still do this shows a lack of common sense. There is nothing wrong with telling all the nations of the world, we are broke and have no real money to send...because it's true.

Any countries that tell us they could be our enemies if we stop giving them money we don't have...are already our enemies.  Sounds like Chicago style to me, on a larger scale.  Hey, ain't that like a gang that shows up at your door and says give us money or your house won't be protected anymore?

Anyway, we don't have any money to send anyone, it's a negative balance in the ol check book.  So I geuss it should have stopped a long time ago.
I guess they just print more and raise the debt ceiling.      In the name of humanity of course.

Since osama took office he's sent the Godless trespassing palis $400 million and just recently another $900  million, I reckon they were out of bombs and rockets. I'd love to see all aid STOPPED COLD to nations that openly hate us. Can anyone name even ONE muslim nation that we can really call friends??? There are some who tolerate us because we are so powerful, but they still hate us. Let em eat their oil. POWDERMAN.

I think Egypt gets aid to keep from another war with Israel.  I do however think we should stop most of it.  We can no longer afford it.  Also, stop giving aid to banks.  Banks got all that tarp money to lend out to stimulate the economy.  They have however used it to cover the bad loans, especially home mortgages, and aren't lending it out.  So, make them pay it back.  That will clear up the $750 billion they used.  Another however, now the Feds have asked the banks to use the money to buy the T-bills, using government money they gave them to buy the government dept.  This is a new development, but all it does is cause inflation, which should hit big time next year, just in time for the Bush tax cuts to go out, and the tax increases for the health care.  So, your money will be worth less because prices will increase, and you will pay more taxes.  So double dip here we come.  Unemployment will probably reach 15% or higher, thus basically a depression.

I think foreign aid is fine.  However, I think that money is the WORST thing we can give.  If a country has a bad natural disaster, we should donate AMERICAN materials, AMERICAN medicine and AMERICAN contractors (based on a bid basis) to help rebuild minimum infrastructure.  If there is a drought or food is the issue, then AMERICAN beef, wheat, corn, etc.... should be provided.  This helps those in a humanitarian disaster and keeps AMERICAN money in AMERICAN hands.  Everyone wins.

free money has never worked.  look at well fair money. more kids, more free money. give countries free money and they want more. not one country has paid any back. i just don't think it is right for the usa to tax me and give my money to banks, other countries, car makers.  a old time saying " a fool and his money are soon parted". i have voted in every election, even when i was in army, don't think it has made any diff..cause them fools in washington are broke and we will soon be.  WHAT THE HELL?
