I thought about it at work today and the only person I have said some crappy things about on this website is sitting in the oval office at the whitehouse. Maybe the two that ignore me voted for him and didn't like me calling BHO a POS.

Of my two that I have never heard of  "panman" and "marlin17".  Marlin17 has only 6 posts in a year.  I managed to get ignored in 6 posts. ???   Maybe that's a record of some sort. ;)

I have 7, two of which I have no recollection of having any real contact with, the other 5 however, all of whom I suggested put me on ignore, and was grateful for it, and also blocked their emails. I also have two or three I am not being ignore by blocked on my email.  "One" (billy_56081) was ordered on ignore by GB, and isn't supposed to even mention me, but I see he can't help himself and did. Think I'll email GB.

Yep Dee, I would have put Billy 56 and Beerbelly both on ignore but it is too much fun to see how bad they can p*$$ somebody off.   ;D  eddie

WOW!  I am ONLY ignored by three people!  How cool is that!  I would have been sure it would have been more. I know at one time I was being ignored by 7 members, and not naming names, but a couple have posted on this topic.  THat's funny!  ;D

Gallagher the comedian used to say we should all carry suction cup dart-guns that shoot little flags that stick to peoples cars  His idea was that if you see someone driving completely ridiculous, to shoot them with your suction cup flag.  That way, if the police ever encounter someone with more than say, five flags on them, they can write them a ticket for being inconsiderate.

Perhaps the ignores are some peoples little little suction cup flags.   (just pokin fun)  :D

I don't have anyone on ignore, and almost never comment on folks that have me on ignore, unless they come out from under their rock and comment on me directly. One as I mentioned was ordered on recently, but evidently doesn't think GB has any authority here. I guess we'll see.

I actually put myronman3 on ignore for maybe a whole day.
We got into a heated discussion last year , and for the life of
me I can' even remember why now.

Once my cooler head prevailed , I realized I was being a Jerk and though I disagreed with what he was writing and perhaps the way I was reading it , I at least needed to respect his opinions though they differed from mine. So ignore came off and I haven't used it since and I now read what everybody writes.  I think I needed to get some thinker skin , and at least learn to be more open minded and read all points of views even if I never agree with some remarks posted.

I was a bit annoyed by being ignored by 1 person.  If 3 are ignoring Heather, I guess I'm doing ok, lol.  I was gone for a bit but can't for the life of me think of anything she has said that would warrant an ignore.  I guess some folks would prefer to put their head in the sand, lol.  I'm also amused eddiegjr, Dee,  and I have the same...gentlemen...on our "almost" ignore list, lol.
This that I do, I do by my own free will.

Hell Wylie, I could name two more right off the top of my head, that I wish would ignore me. ;D It would be a blessing to me. I don't really dislike them, I just don't have any use for"em like I don't the other 5.

I have 3.

la.ut     Hasn't been active since 2008      8 posts

Idaho_Elk_Huntr      Last active today     306 posts

Idaho Elk Hunter      Last active March this year    28 posts

Don't recall them but I must have had a heavy discussion with them or they just think I am a fool.
Never tried to contact them.

Have wondered a few times what it was or what I said to cause them to ignore me.
I guess if they wanted me to know they would have told me.

I would never place someone on ignore.
Even if I totally disagree with them on something they still may have something of instrest to contribute on a different subject.
Or they may just make for a good chuckle!

The ignore button... is that the electronic equivalent of clamping your hands over your ears and going "la-la-la-la-la, I can't hear you, la-la-la-la-la" ?    ::)  ;D

No one is ignoring me... well at least up till this post anyway.  :D

How about a button where you could choose certain people who would not be able to see YOUR posts?
Now, that would make for interesting discussions among some of the more paranoid folks.

i am having a good laugh over this... evidently i ruffle feathers now and then....who knew?   i have seen alot of people come (and go) over the years.  alot of them were very opinionated.  the ones that dont make it here are the folks who carry a grudge, people that cant admit they are ever wrong, and those that take themselves entirely too seriously.     the rest of us have a bad day here and there, and sometimes things get a little heated.  all in all i get a kick out of it.  i wouldnt have stuck around for the last ten years if i didnt.
some of the people i have had very heated discussions with have become people i enjoy following and actually have developed a respect for.

Myron I think in order to have a discussion about important thing there are going to be feathers ruffled. I have to agree with ya on those who carry a grudge, are always right, or take themselves way too serious. Most of the time these same people think everything said is about them.

...but it probably wouldn't matter because you would only use your Blackberry to check GBO while you were driving down the interstate during rush hour.

I was put on ignor once when I first got here. I asked the person why. He said he was PO'ed at a whole discussion cause somebody ridiculed him about something trivial. So, he put everybody in that room on ignor. A couple of days later, he removed mine. Go figure.
I enjoy reading posts from folks that I may disagree with, but sometimes it helps me see their perspective more clearly. While I still have any mind left, I try to keep it open.
