A few question's I have, are you going with an outfitter. If so, does he know you want to do that. Introducing a new smell can drive the bear out of a bait site. You may want to check with your outfitter to see if it is something he would want you to do. All I know is, my outfitter would not want you to do that unless you are willing to go home empty handed.
Now if you are on a self guided hunting, and the area is not baited, it may work, and then again it might not. As for spraying once on stand, I don't do anything that shows movement, and I stay a quit as I can. Why risk spooking off a bear? Some bear will sit back and watch the bait sight for a long time before coming right in, and if you are moving or spraying sent into the air, you just may give yourself away. JMHO.
