Monroeville gunshow
« on: August 18, 2010, 06:19:05 AM »
Sunday I was at the Monroeville Gunshow, there were three guys at the show dressed up like Taliban fighters, I am not talking Muslim dress, these guys were Dressed for trouble, and did start some. you would have had to see them to know what I am talking about. Other forms are talking about this, did anyone on here see this. I was there and saw it, this took place between 1130 or 12 o’clock Sunday, at first I thought it was some kind of joke, but these clowns were just looking for trouble, they started several disturbances with venders as well as patrons. Some have suggested they may have been Media plants or College kids looking to stir things up.

Hornady, was the show held at the Expo Mart? I thought that they were having no more shows there.

Most likely they were plants trying to starts fights, so there could be head lines for the news stations, about rowdy, uncontrollable gun owners at a gun show. The media and the anti's are praying that there will be a shooting at a gun show sometime, so they can say see what happens at gun shows.

DDZ they moved the shows to a new building behind Dunham sporting goods, the two links I added are show schedules for Monroeville and Greensburg shows, and a link too a Dollar off coupon to the Monroeville show.
A couple other forms went into more detail about what went on there, but these guys were looking to start something. I too think this may have been  a set up, I stayed clear of it, it looked like one of those hidden camera deals.

Thanks for the links. I have been to a number of the Pa gun collectors shows, once was a member, but I don't think I've ever been to one of the C&E gun shows. Are they as large as the Pa gun collectors shows?

The Monroeville show is about the same size as the Greensburg show, I live in Murrysville and go to both shows, The Monroeville show is advertised on TV. The Monroeville show has had a little more reloading components. One guy had small rifle and pistol primers for $26.00 he wanted $29.00 for the large R&P in Win and CCI. he said he was still haveing trouble getting them, Not a bad price for a gunshow, he had a large selection of powder and new brass. I saw several of the local guys there, I don’t think Powel made this one but, I think Braverman was there.

Not long ago I bought some Federal SP primers at Bee's. Its the first time I've used federal primers, but they were the only SP primers he was selling in box of 1,000. It appears that he is still having some trouble getting primers. I can't remember what the primers at Bee's were, but $26 doesn't sound to bad of a price buying them at a gun show.
I never saw many deals at a gun show unless you went the last day a few hours before the show was over. Guys are a bit easier to deal with at that time. Most want to much for their used guns and if I'm buying new, I'm getting it off of Bee's. I guess the nice thing about gun shows is that you can find, and handle just about gun you are interested in.

Yes I think we had the Bee discussion before, Best place around , I can usually get CCI or Winchester out there, and I think it is $26.00 a thousand, there I go running my mouth on line again, Bee’s has been a very good secret to keep local .Is Steve still working out there the last couple times I have been in he was not. Him and Ken are both great guys to work with; I don’t know the other guy that well.
No most stuff is way over priced at gun shows, I just like to looking at the stuff I could not afford if it were priced fare. You do see some nice old Colts and some beautiful engraved shotguns. And maybe some day they will mis-price a new M 1 A.
Did you see that house out there on 286 the plain hit, I drove by it last week, what a Mess, the home owner is very lucky to be alive.

Yeah, Steve is still there. Yes, both him and Ken are good people, and I will probably never buy another new gun anywhere else. I'm not sure what the other fellow's name is. I don't see him there that often.
It is nice to think that you will find an M1 with the wrong sticker price on it, but most likely not. Every time I see one I think how I should have bought one years ago when they were cheaper.
Yeah, the house was pretty much destroyed, and the guy that was in it can count his blessings he was not killed or injured. I'm sure he had to do an underwear change after the plane hit.
To bad the pilot couldn't get control of it and glide it down in a field. From what I heard, when the engines restarted the plane climbed then stalled, and then dropped like a stone.
