Best ammo for a rossi 223

After owning a bunch of handi and ultra rifles i picked up on clearance a brand new rossi 223  for 106 dollars out the door i just couldn't pass it up . Now what kind of ammo do these rifles like ?

I think the answer is the same for any rifle or caliber. Get a bunch of
different brands and weights of ammo and start SHOOTING! You will
know when you found the right load for your rifle. And most of all,
HAVE FUN!!

I don't own a .223, but a lot of guys I know get good results from Winchester White Box.  ;)

Mine is a heavy barrel model, but it likes anything in 50-55 grn range

Will also depend on the twist rate My TC will not take anything over 55 grns but the mossberg with a different twist will handle most all of them. Like has been said try a bunch till you find what it likes.

Try the Fiocchi 40 and 50 grain V-max. In two 1-12 twist rifles, the 40 grain shot better than anything I have ever shot. On sale at Cabelas it seems like half of the time.
