12 guage single shot Hopkins and allen, help on how old it is?

I have an old 12 guage single shot hopkins and allen I used to hunt ducks with when I was young.   Just brought it back from my parents and trying to find outmore about it.  Serial number is SO 846.    Yes I think that is an S as in sam,  not 50846.   so I am guessing it is pretty old, any ideas?

If you know chamber lenght of shell to be used it will get you close.1880-1930
