First casting

I cast my first bullets yesterday. Of about 50 or so cast about eight to 10 had gad spurs on top of the bullet like the mold wasn't closing completely. It would happen randomly and the next bullet would be fine. Am I doing something to cause this or is that just part of the game?

sounds like your pouring alittle to fast! if not check the mould to make sure its coming together properly may be some burrs around the pin alinment holes. moulds tend to be different  in venting so some you could pour fast some you can pour slow to get a good fill!
