Out of the Hospital and back home.
« on: August 21, 2010, 07:45:58 PM »
Just to let everyone know, I flew to Anchorage last Tuesday.  On Wednesday morning I went into the Hospital and I got a roto-rooter job and two new stints in my heart.  They kept me overnight in the hospital, then released me the Thursday morning.  But the Doctor would not clear me to fly back to Fairbanks till Friday.  Got home last evening but did not feel like saying much then.  Doctor said lots of rest for a week, then to slowly work back into my normal routine.  Plan on supervising Sky putting an addition onto our deck next week.  Then sky and I are going into the White Mtns for a few days.

12th of Sept plan on going on a float trip up in the Brooks Range.  We will be flying into wild Lake, spending a week on the lake, then floating down the river.  Should be fun, and an easy float.  I had planned on going up to the 40 mile country, but the roads are washed out and DOT says they may not get it repaired till next spring.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Your probably like me and have to be doing something all the time.  ::) When I had my little spell over mothers day, Dr. told me same thing. By the end of the second week wife was ready to beat me with a cast iron #10. This time it has slowed me down a little. Last 3 times was up to par in a couple weeks. Maybe cause I'll be 70 next week might have something to do with it this time?

Glad you get your pipes straightened out and are doing better. Have a good, safe time on your trips.
