Anyone?
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to serve as a horrible warning.

Thanks Fred, I added the Midway link to the FAQs, it's considerably cheaper than H&R's price, shipping isn't bad either and no tax, too bad they don't have the stock bolt.

What is the bolt problem? What is the diameter, length, and thread pattern ? I would imagine they are using something commercially available, it does not need to be anything great, I can buy a grade 8 machine thread- whatever allen head at any  good hardware store. Surely they are not using a "proprietary" bolt?

All of this is in the FAQs, but the bolt is a 3/8-24x2" button head socket cap screw which is a non-standard size, even the local bolt and nut store here had to special order them, a regular socket head cap screw will work, but the head is a bit taller.

 The first set I bought I thought the same until I went to mount it using a knurled head socket head
which was all that was available in a 50 mile radious. It stuck out so far that there contact on the web
of my hand which on a hard kicking turkey gun, not good. Ended up rounding it off with a bench grinder,
worked but still a PITA. For the 3 bucks xtra to spend. No contest ;D   Fred

I went to the local Fastenal store, they sell em, special order......if you buy 100 of em!  ::) Best source was the local bolt shop, I bought a bunch and sold em to a bunch of members at cost for $3 each shipped a few years ago when the Boyd's t-holes first came out.

There's a link in the FAQs for em, less than a buck....plus $10 UPS!!  ::) ::)

I'd be more inclined that it's a national policy not to sell small quantities, breaking boxes increases the time required for inventory counts.

So much for an online order, I created a Fastenal account, they only ship UPS or Fedex, their rates start at about $7-$9..... to ship a $2 item.  ::) At least H&R ships small items for less than that, $5 IIRC.

I think Dave is correct, check out the mfr's part number on the Handi-Grip and the Remington Shurshot which it's based on, then look at the Choate part numbers which are a completely different series. Choate also doesn't list either of the new checkered synthetic stocks.

 Already checked with my contact at Choate and she assured me me they didn't produce any of the
Handi-grip stocks though their forends are close. I was promised  imformation would be looked up as
to the producers of same. It would be sweet to be able to get the same stock set as Remingtons camo
in the Handi Grip and I would think that its coming unless they keep us like redheaded stepchildren. Fred
