Opt for a Ruger #1 in 45-70, send it to me and I'll buy you a ROA! :D

Just funnin'  but they wouldn't want to make me an offer like that....

I'd definitely hate to lose my ROA, but if you can get a BH convertable in 45, you can't go wrong.  I got one for my son and after correcting the too small throats; it shoots like a target gun in both LC and ACP.  I'm baby sitting his guns while the USAF sends him to Afganistan for the 2nd time.  I guess I'll have to get one of my own when he gets back.

Just curious, but what could possibly happen to a ROA that can't be fixed?

well i purchased this gun at a police auction and the latch on the bottom of the barrel that holds the loading lever up was missing. it looked like it was originally brazed on.i would guess that to fix, they thought it was necessary to replace the whole barrel.also fairly often the action would just lock up. you would have to remove the cylinder to get it free again.the person i talked to at ruger said they just didnt have the parts to fix it.

Now I'm really bummed out!!!  Don't have the parts; they only stopped making them a few years ago.  CZ hasn't made the Dan Wesson revolvers since they bought the name, but they still have an abundance of spare parts for the older models.  Well at least there seems to be a fair amount of after market parts for them.  I plan on shooting mine for a looong time. >:(

actually i wouldnt get to0 bummed out, a good gunsmith could of fixed this roa.a new loading lever latch could of been made by hand and drilled and tapped to the barrel.it wouldnt look stock but it would work.what was up with the action i have no idea as i never dissasembled it that far.but ill bet it could been fixed also. the gun had been abused before i got it.i still have faith in the roa as i have a like new one comeing from gunbroker.i could of got it back from ruger but since they offered me a brand new pistol of my choice for a gun i had 200$ it was kinda hard to turn down.
