What is the difference between?

Hello all,
What is the difference between a halibut and a flounder? I know a halibut is in the Pacific Ocean and the flounder is in the Atlantic Ocean and their both flat with both of their eyes on the same side of their fishy bodies. Are they just subspecies of the same fish just in a different Ocean?
