300 is strange indeed... but if that's so much that some can turn a blind eye to executive overreach, then a precedent is set that allows what people can have/maintain dictated by what the sissies feel is alright, which is few if any. kind of like letting liberals decide what an "assault weapon" is. the only issue this nation really ever had with "assault weapons" is the chicago type-writer, which was used to blast cops and feds yes, for passing and enforcing a bs law that got repealed because civilians kept wasting law enforcement.
since then full-auto, short barreled long guns, a few others.. have been almost out-lawed. now semi-auto is the next target. on the back-burner is .50bmg, pocket guns, and hunting rifles because they're "sniper-rifles". then it's double action revolvers, then single action, then derringers, then single shots.
hey, we'll always have muskets right?!
ps- why do people always cry about the NUMBERS or TYPES of guns that MAY harm people? whether it's three shots from a 9mm, or one from a .44mag, the target/victim is still dead. if that guy only had ONE gun he could still go blast someone, so what's the difference?
