 Mosins however nice,are a dime a dozen. The Steyrs seem to be cheap for some reason (I guess its ammo availability) but you dont see as many around)

Well I only paid 80 bucks for the M38, and that was with a lammy stock.

I have a Mosin rifle.. have considered the Mosin carbine too,, but never have found a decent one for the "right" price... Old Military rifles are fun to have.

If you want to get a carbine, get the 91/59. I like it way better than my M38 or M44.

My 91/59's look identical to the M-38's right down to the diameter of the muzzle. I do think the rear sights are different though. One of my M-38's is a laminated stock, so that is not the same.

Day late and a dollar short. Now I'm up to 12 Mosin Nagants. Looking for a deal on an M39 with a Tikka barrel to make a baker's dozen.

The 95s are fun. The big trick is getting clips. If you shoot much grab them when you can.

Any time you feel like whining about the recoil on a m44, squeeze off a couple frome the m95. You will never snivel about the m44 again

I now have THREE Steyrs and TWELVE Mosin Nagants, and have fired them all.
