What is the cleanest burning, most stable LOOSE powder out there for traditional percussion weapons??

One that requires little cleaning for a day at the range and works well for hunting.

I would say such a powder doesnt exist. The burnt residue from all powders safe to use in traditional guns will draw moisture and cause rust.

I use real black powder and just resign to the fact that my rifle should be cleaned ASAP after shooting.

I've tried several BP replacements including Pyrodex (couple flavors), Jim Shockey's Gold and now 777.  I like 777 the best of them, but I still find accuracy degrades after a couple shots unless you at least run a bore brush followed by a mop.  When zeroing one or testing a new bullet for groups, I remove the plug and clean it with solvent in between shots also.  Got some Goex to test, but am finishing up the 777 testing first.

 to clean up. works pissa on sidelocks, never had any of

Kinda gotta side with Lakota here,,they ALL hafta be cleaned.
The residues from BP and ALL the subs are hygroscopic and have SOME salts that lead to corrosion.

That said,, I'm a fan of T7, cleans quick an easy,,superb accuracy on the range and plenty of power for hunting

ML's simply are not like cartridge guns, cleaning IS part of the package.

I have tried them all... Pioneer is the cleanest by far.. Triple 7 has more power than the Pioneer but is a little harder to clean..  Good luck
