Our seasons vary in length---coyote,fox and coon have no season, and can be hunted or trapped year round.Beaver runs from end of oct--or beginning of november till may 15.otter,rats and mink start the same time as beav, but have earlier closing dates.Season on fisher and marten is only 2 weeks long.
Follow your mink trails, set where the trail narrows down.Be prepared to wait a while as mink may take a week or longer to come back through your area you are trapping.  Tom

We are allowed to hunt coyotes year round. All other animals have seasons. The trapping season opens around the 2nd week of Nov. for all furbearers. Then of course there are earlier coon and possum hunting season, but I get no joy out of shooting a coon out of a tree and letting my dogs tear it all to hell. I know all coon hunters are not like this, but I have a buddy who coon hunts and never skins a coon but kills everyone he trees.
Trapping ain't a sport; It's a way of life
