Ok, I've been working on this for a couple of weeks. I had the barrel cut to 19" and threaded for Colonial choke tubes. I replaced the wooden forearm with a survivor forearm, and replaced the wooden stock with a tamer stock. With the tamer stock it kicked so hard I couldn't hold on to it, so I changed it to a plain synthetic and that helped considerably. I carry two extra rounds, a LED light, fire sparker, tinder, and a compass in the forearm. Im using this as my go to the camp/truck gun. I think it should work out pretty well. My advice to anyone who is considering a short shotgun project is, use a 20 gauge.
