Ron Paul’s Shocking Message To The Tea Party
Posted on August 28, 2010 at 6:30 pm.

Ron Paul has some surprising news for the Tea Party:

You’re being taken for a ride.

At least this is what many libertarians like Ron Paul believe when they see someone like Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin trying to lead the Tea Party at the “restoring honor” rally this weekend. In fact, Ron Paul believes, if you’re looking for real freedom, you should really go back to the core of the constitution and the bill of rights, which Beck and Palin do not fully endorse when you really look at their beliefs. Whether it be Palin’s support for starting more wars or Beck’s beliefs on paying the private Federal Reserve MORE interest on our money by means of a VAT tax.

Ron Paul believes in neither of the above.

Here was Ron Paul’s message to the Tea Party via The New York Times just the other day:

“As many frustrated Americans who have joined the Tea Party realize, we cannot stand against big government at home while supporting it abroad. We cannot talk about fiscal responsibility while spending trillions on occupying and bullying the rest of the world. We cannot talk about the budget deficit and spiraling domestic spending without looking at the costs of maintaining an American empire of more than 700 military bases in more than 120 foreign countries. We cannot pat ourselves on the back for cutting a few thousand dollars from a nature preserve or an inner-city swimming pool at home while turning a blind eye to a Pentagon budget that nearly equals those of the rest of the world combined.”

While the Tea Party will be out supporting Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin this weekend, you wonder how many of them will be in full support of more wars and paying more interest to a group of untouchable and unauditable private bankers otherwise known as the FED? This is precisely what Ron Paul is asking the American public to consider when looking at the Tea Party leaders and see if they really stand for what they believe in.

Ron Paul believes the Tea Party is not about “left” or “right” like a lot of political pundits make it out to be. It’s about the constitution, and limited government.

Ron Paul might be right overall, but he needs to learn that you combat the worst first.  In this case, the worst is the communists (Dumocrats) who are bent on changing this country into something that has never worked and never will.

Besides, I don't think that Glen Beck, nor Sarah Palin would agree with some of the things that they are accused of advocating and they aren't really running anything.  They are whipping boys for the liberal media.

I dont think the "who's" (Beck, Palin etc.) are as important as the message that crowds this large are sending to the tyrants in Washington.

Maybe Ron Paul, or TM, ought to listen to Beck. While he has talked about the tea party's, he's never associated himself with them. Not sure about Sarah. As far as the tea party's are concerned, we could only hope half of what there about could come to pass. Even getting back half of what we've lost in freedoms and the move to socialism, might keep this country from complete collapse. I have my doubts though. gypsyman

I'm still waiting for the Constitutionalist party. If the past demonstrations by the demicans and republicrats is a preview to what the future holds, maybe the libertarians wouldn't be such a bad idea?

Go back to the core of the Constitution and Bill Of Rights, Ha! That is a pretty big dream. Sure ain't going to happen with the way people vote in this country.
It would be nice if we even saw just a hint of less government. I have plenty of doubts also, of government giving some freedom back. The only way that will happen, is if its taken back.

We spend the entire Federal revenue on Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security (all socialist ideas).  For every other action the federal government financially supports, we borrow the money (often from our potential enemies).

The final nail in the coffin of Constitutional government was driven home by the hammer of "preserve the Union at all costs".  Looking at the US in 2010, I'm not necessarily sure that the ends have been justified by the means.

It is a shame that the abhorrent sin of slavery put an otherwise Constitutionally correct political position on the wrong side of history.  If the issue of the day were "We the Southern States secede from these Unites States because we should have the individual State right to ban slavery", then history would reflect differently upon the cause of the South.

Few remember that the Constitution of the Confederacy was a virtual carbon copy of the US Constitution, except that the Conferderate States banned international slave trade.

Let me get this straight!.........He's right over all. in your op., but he needs to learn! (Now just how in tarnation does that work?) You think it's all the Democrats..."OOPS" I mean Dumocrats fault. You don't suppose the Republdums might be part of the problem?

Glen Beck ....like El Limblow, is nothing more than an over paid entertainer.  They say things today, that your crowd wants to hear, and laugh at you, all the way to the bank. If they thought they could make more spewing left wing dribble, they would be on NPR and CNN.

And Sarah P.??? Good grief! Let anyone, esp. a woman with good looks, hold a rifle in one hand and the flag in the other run for office and all of a sudden they become presidential material, but let a person with a head full of knowledge,That votes the Constitution and would abolish the Fed, and would stop these money wars both sides of the isle want, and he's KOOK!.........OH! he is sort of right, but a KOOK! And he's old, and just not pretty enough to be president.

We spend the entire Federal revenue on Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security (all socialist ideas).

And if the Tea Party or the Republicans aren't willing to sacrifice those socialist ideas, then we've got nowhere to go. Over 50% of the DOD budget is now spent on retirement and VA Benefits. My guess is most folks on GBO stand to lose a significant portion of their financial benefits if we had only that government which is necessary for protection of free trade and the promotion of common defense. I know I would ... gladly. I joined to make this country stronger, I will vote myself out of a job if thats what it takes.

Ron Paul’s Shocking Message To The Tea Party
Posted on August 28, 2010 at 6:30 pm.

Ron Paul has some surprising news for the Tea Party:

You’re being taken for a ride.

That's not surprising at all, nor is it shocking.  Mr. Paul is a politician.  I have yet to meet a politician who wouldn't be overwhelmed with glee if 500,000 people would turn out to an event to show support for them personally.  Pure speculation, but I think that Mr. Paul might be confused as to what motivated the people who attended the rally in D.C. over the weekend to attend it.  I think he is just as confused about this as TM7 is, based on TM7's statement below.

Quote
While the Tea Party will be out supporting Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin this weekend.....

I don't think those people attending the rally did so to support personalities or persons, but did so as a display of unity with respect to common concerns, beliefs, and ideals.  Progressives have a very difficult time comprehending this because they tend to believe in moral relativism, rather than moral absolutes.  They don't like living in a world where people are free to succeed and also free to fail. They can't understand how anyone would trade the false security of a bloated socialized government for freedom to fail.  The very concept of liberty and limited government is ailen to their understanding and their desire.  They also tend to devalue the individual and place high import on the percieved need to lead the collective.  So the turnout at the rally in question MUST have something to do with personalities and persons, in their myopic view.

Quote
Ron Paul believes the Tea Party is not about “left” or “right” like a lot of political pundits make it out to be. It’s about the constitution, and limited government.

Color me skeptical, but I have my doubts about Mr. Paul's true beliefs relative to the Tea Party.  He's a politician, after all.

Yes he is a politician, and I don't think he is the next coming of George Washington. I guess he thinks spending is ok as long as its designated.

Social security was intended to be a stand alone program. Had the congress not Borrowed (stole) all the SS money over the years SS would be floating in money! Up until now SS has not got one penny out of the general fund. They say starting next year SS will pay out more than it takes in.
However if congress had not stole the SS money for welfare, with interest it would have made it would have more money than needed.

The issue of slavery came after war broke out . The war was over the north forcing the South to pay for the war of 1812. The unfair taxing of raw materials shipped out of country etc.

Shootall, I hope that my main point that our Constitution was violated isn't lost on whatever the political or moral issue of those days were.  It is the issue of a "Federal" government vs. a "National" government that was decided.  Federalism as envisioned by our Founders is pretty much dead.

yep it was a sad day for America when Lincon was elected . I just hate to see the slavery issue being put up like it was the reason for the war when it was only brought to light when lincon was afraid the South would get help from France and England.

I wish more folks TODAY would recongize that the issue TODAY is still a Federal vs. a National government. I'd like to think its not dead yet, its only mostly dead - consider how many folks on here still speak of the ideal as at least a former reality. If all we do is oscillate between parties, we will collectively slide into socialism because we're not paying attention to the big picture. We can very well win in November, and lose the entire future. Think chess, not checkers.

However I will say from the looks of the turnout in D.C., it appears most folks, all professing so-called higher motives and political theory,,,are worried about loosing any wealth they might have accumulated.

I don't think they are anywhere nearly as concerned about losing any wealth they have accumulated as they are concerned about losing the liberty and freedom that other heretofore have paid the ultimate price to secure and defend. Believe it or not, there are some things that conservatives value more than wealth.  Liberty is one of those things.  Lost wealth can be re-aquired with relative ease.  Lost liberty is much more difficult to replace.  Substantively similar "higher motives and political theory" to that so easily dissmissed by so-called "progressive" are the building blocks upon which our constitutional republic was founded.  Progressives don't like the constitution much, either.  It is intellectually dishonest for them to claim that they do, because they do not appreciate or understand the intrinsic value of liberty.

Quote
All the time these good folks searching for answers from barkers like Palin and Beck get false hope and led astray, and go home to blame demorats, repubniks, or other front men, and trapped in some fabricated paradigm of socialism vs. capitalism.

In order to agree with this statement, one must stipulate that "these good folks" are individually incapable of logical thought and reason.  The truth of the matter is that they are smart enough to figure out the "answers" for themselves and do not need "barkers" like Palin and Beck to provide them.  The other stinging truth is that those "good folks" are not as easily led anywhere, let alone "astray," as TM 7 presuposes.  They aren't looking for a leader.  They are trying to send a message to government that essentially says, "Get the hell out of my way and leave me alone."

If they blame democrats and republicans, it isn't because such blame is necessarily misplaced.  Further, their "blame game" isn't predicated on emotive-based argumentation, but beliefs founded upon logic and reason.

The current and ongoing paradigm wherein capitalism and socialism are at odds with each other is hardly a product of fiction or fabrication.  It is intellectually dishonest to deny that capitalism and socialism are diametrically opposed.

TM, I think your jealous that Beck is making tons of money, trying to tell people of what is wrong with socialism and a welfare state. Promoting capitalism, keeping people off the welfare dole, smaller govt. I just don't understand, in this country, why anyone would be afraid of that. It's what built this country into what it is.(was!)All I've ever heard Beck say was smaller govt., less tax's, especially on business's. Cut federal dept's like EPA and Education. Can't see anything wrong with that. gypsyman

RP has him and Palin pegged spot on.

Just wondering why you would care what Palin thinks, you've made it known what you think of her.

The main reason the administration hates Beck is because he has exposed enough of them where they had to make some "adjustments".
They probably don't like the fact he can round up more people in a day than Obama could paying people to show up at one of his shows, and that includes Obama using our tax payer money to fly in his supporters.

Far as Glen Beck goes I've been getting a boot out of him making Obama and pals feel like there is a burr under their saddle. Heck, it's a lot more fun than nobody at all giving our leaders any guff.  If there is anyone else out there that would like to take over, I'm all for it the more the better.

Lots of people just seems to find fault and do nothing, most of us are planning on working everyday for the rest of our lives and can't take up the task.
If Beck wants to give the republicans and democrats and Obama a headache, it's OK with me, and I think its fun. Gotta have some fun sometimes.
Nobody has all the exact same views, there is no person that will please all the folks in this country, too many different types of folks.

I like all of them! It's entertainment! So is this forum sometimes. If you guys all chip in some money, I'll get on TV and give Obama a hard time for ya too.  :D
I might not agree with all your views out there, but there will be one view we can all agree on...we need to give Obama and pals a real hard time.
