Got another g-hog
« on: August 30, 2010, 09:35:42 AM »
Shot a female that was in my back yard. She had dug her hole next to my foundation. I looked out the back door and she was sittin' there eatin'. I grabbed my ruger 10/22 and went outside. She heard me and went in her hole. I got my gobbler lounger and sat behind my wood pile and waited for about 45min. she came out from behind my deck real cautious. She looked in the direction I was in and bang! Nailed her from about 45 yards. Sorry no pick this time. I had left my camera at work >:(

I`ve only killed 15 so far this year, but all were from under barns. I think they all left the fields and moved under buildings.  ::)

Have taken a few and mainly where a wooded edge meets a bean field. It is not like it used to be around here as most of the g hogs have become "Urban" due to the tilling practices.
Most of my varmint hunting has been to take the ground squirrels with the WMR.
