If you like BSA red dots, Wal-Mart has started carrying them, at least in my area.  It is the bottom end model and only costs like $30.  I bought one last night to put on my Ranch Rifle, so I'm now "patiently" waiting for my rail to arrive from Weigand Combat.

Do a search, I just typed in    ultradot   and the thread has most of the info you want.  I use the Ultradot and plan on getting another.

Don't think you can go wrong with the Bushnell trophy. I have one on my 7-30 Waters and i love it.

I own a Tasco PDP3 that I bought about 5 years ago.  I have been very pleased with the little red dot...had its first assignment on top of my Ruger GP100 .357 Mag revolver and then was transferred to my 14" .375 Win T/C Contender where it is to this day.  It has been a heck of a rugged red dot.  Originally, I thought that it wouldn't last too long on top of the .375, but several hundred shots later, and she's still kickin'.  I have no intention on changing this setup.  I'm sure that there's nothing wrong with your other choices...they all seem like they would be good dots, I just have always been satisfied with the Tasco.
How'd you like a peek at my 14-incher? (Contender, that is)

My vote goes for the UltraDot.  I'm going to buy another when I'm ready for a second red dot sight.

I use a Millet 5moa red dot on my 209X.50 15" with very good results.
For target shooting I often fire 435 gr Buffalo bullets with 2 50 gr pyrodex pellets in the 1,300 fps range. That's a lot of recoil. But that Millet just won't lose it's zero. No complaints from me.[/b]

Save your money and go with the Bushnell Holosight . I've tried my luck with the lower end scopes, & had bad results. I had 3 Millet's & they all BROKE.                                                                                                                    Maxhunter

I am into the second year of shooting my 7x30 Contender with the 30mm UltraDot 3MOA sight (about $125 from UltraDot).  So far I have been well pleased.  The red dot sight does very well for my style of Florida deer hunting and my 54 year old eyes.  No problems shooting at longer distances either.  Off the bench, with a black faced 100 yard small bore rifle target (so you can see the red dot) my gun shoots very good groups.

I took a nice doe ,from a tree stand, using a millet 30mm red dot on my 30-30 contender this year.  I was satisfied with it until I came across a 42mm BSA.  I put that on my 7-30 waters.  It looks like you are looking through a tv screen compared to the Millet.  I'm waiting to see what a deer looks like in it.  Give it a look in the store.
