Hi. I picked up an old Remington Model 31 at a fun show recently that some jackass had decided to cut down the barrel to 18.5" and cut the stock rear part on. Oh, and he also thought it would be a really cool idea to paint the metal silver and the wood black.
I'm looking at the possibility of trying to fix this poor stick back into something resembling what it once was, but am finding it to be a real problem trying to come up with a 12 gauge Model 31 barrel and stock set. Any ideas where to look? (Numrich was out) Or alternatively, is there a different model/make that would work for a barrel and/or stock set? I seem to recall something about the Mossburg 500 being based off these, so I wonder if those parts would fit, if all else fails? Thanks.
