« on: September 01, 2010, 08:19:49 AM »
September 1,just under 2 months till trapping opener.
September is a great month, busiest of convention months-plus many states dove and early goose seasons open.
We finally got a bit of a break weather wise--it was 55 degrees at 5:30 this morning.
Looks like perfect dipping weather is at hand.Time to get busy.

Last Saturday it was nice and cool with no humidity so I dipped my traps.  Got everything done and ready to go--I am ready to set steel.

I don't dip my traps anymore so I'm still waiting for it to cool down a little before I start boiling, dying and waxing my traps. Have been busy for the last few weeks in trying to find good used traps to add to my stash and modifying and adjusting traps from last year. Never seem to catch up on all the work needed on things, but its fun to set back with a cold brew in front of the fan tinkering with my traps and equipement.
