So what have we learned in 2,064 years ?
« on: September 02, 2010, 08:49:48 AM »
Just got this in an email from a friend. Got me wondering.   Jay

So what have we learned in 2,064 years ?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt.  People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."

We have learned to do nothing different pollitically in that 2000+ or 4000+ or XXXX+ years. Those who have the gold make the rules. Why should we expect any different result?  eddiegjr

mostly, not to stare into the "business end" of a [FILL IN THE BLANK] __________ caliber bore.

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants...God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion; what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?  Let them take arms." -- Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, 1787"

TM7, when all the citizens are living under the illusion of truth, who is the one to make decision of what the truth is and what is needed or best? If no one sees the king naked because they are naked also and unknowing, all is lost. eddiegjr

Hint...don't look at the leaders as much as looking at who the leader's advisors are.

Thats more or less what I was saying before the last election about who will go nameless(that name will not cross my lips or fingers again).

Good post burntmuch and good replys fellows, now get everyone you know to go out and vote in november. Its "blocking and tackling" time, no need for trying to convince any one of any thing anymore.

TELL EVERYONE YOU CAN CONTACT TO VOTE THATS ALL THAT IS NEEDED.

There is hope!
