You are grossly in error on your estimate of active members. No not all those registered are active but thousands are. In fact we average approximately 100,000 UNIQUE visitors to the site monthly and deliver three million plus page views each month of the year.
Not everyone who is active is an active poster for sure. I'm sure we have probably a hundred who just read for everyone who posts and perhaps have 50-75 or more who only post to a topic rather than starting a topic. It's the same everywhere. That we have almost 1.5 million posts should tell you someone is posting. For years we deleted all classifieds threads after the items sold or traded. Had we not there would be way over 2 million posts. We've also changed software twice and lost all prior posts as a result of the incompatibility of the new software with the old.
