2 things recently brought that fact home to me recently  - yep I'm definitely getting older.  

• The other night I went to get up out of the chair and by reflex groaned cause my back was sore.... realized thats the sound my dad use to make as well  -  and when I was a little guy I always wondered why he did it.
  
  
• The second was I was talkin with my sister and we got on the subject of music .. and her littlest one ask us  -  Who were the Beatles ? !!!!

I've always heard that we actually get a bit shorter over the years but now know that is an old wives tale. I know for a fact I'm much taller cause when I put on my socks and shoes my feet are a lot farther away than they used to be. I've also noticed that up and down is a lot farther too. POWDERMAN.

Oh this is funny. what is the deal with these big long hairs sprouting out of my ears and my nose? My wife say "come here", and yanks them out of my ears. 
I have a funny little electric thing that is supposed to take it out of my nose, it don't work so well.

You know your getting old you your wife buys you vitamins  that says "FOR HIM 50+"

I've been trying to figure that out myself. Maybe we should let the ear hair grow. It would keep the dust out.

I think I have one of those electric nose hair gismos. I think it does more pulling that cutting. Hurts like heck.

Turned 60 in June.  Went to the county fair today and got in for half price;  thought that was a good thing.  But every time I turned around, some twenty something on a golf cart or quad machine was asking me if I needed a ride.  Never thought I looked that old.

jimster, a mirrow lying on the table top and a bic lighter turned down low is an effective and quick hair remover but it is rather like doing fine paper work with a broken pop bottle.     be careful. eddie

When we go out to eat I always tell my wife to go first so we'll get the senior discount. HEH, our old pastor said he did that and his wifes eyes shot darts at him from the front pew, he saw her and said, ooooohhhh boy, am I in trouble. First time I was asked if I wanted the senior discount I thought to myself, whats wrong with this pup??? ME a senior??? Now, I ask for it. POWDERMAN.

i know i'm getting old.....an adult will approach me and say "how's things going with you", you look at them and think real hard but have no idea who this person is. It's always one of my kid's buddies( my son is 36), that spent years hangin around my house, i used to yell at em when they played little league.....stuff like that

I KNEW I was old........Not getting, when my son became a grandfather six years ago.
I'm tired now, so I'll be nodding off now

When you are talking to an old woman, and mention something that happened in the past, and she asked when.  You mention the date and she responds.  "Why, Honey I was not even a gleam in my Daddies eye back then".  And you thought she was old. 

People want to buy your tools as Antiques.

You remember when todays Seven Doller burger cost .35 cents.  And a haircut came with that smelly stuff being rubbed into your hair and neck.

You remember heaters, and a spare tire, as an option in vehicles.  Radios were for home use, and TVs were for rich folks, in cities, where they had TV stations.

It still amazes me how they can cram 11 oz of coffee into a 16 oz can, or 17 lb of dog food into a 25 lb bag. Progress I reckon. Drs actually made house calls and Sunday was really a day of rest.  POWDERMAN.
