Trigger adjustment
« on: September 05, 2010, 04:32:16 PM »
I have a FP 110  that was made the year before the accutrigger came out. I see the diagram in the manual that says "2B trigger adjustment screw". Is that just travel, pull, both?? Which way is which? Clockwise to lighten, or clockwise to increase trigger pull? What is the lightest you can adjust to in this rifle ? If you can save me some time and experimenting here I would really appreciate it.

The biggest difference in pull is made by changing out the stright spring on the side of the trigger for a lighter weight one.  You are probably looking at the creep screw, but I don't have the diagram and there were more than one type made.  Larry

I would second what Larry says.

If it is an FP, it should have a 3-screw trigger. That means there is a sear depth screw, as well as a safety adjustment screw, and an overtravel screw. Change out the external wire for a music wire of about .040 in. Then adjust the sear screw in to reduce the engagement. Next reduce the overtravel. Finally, make sure the safety still works properly. If not, adjust the safety screw until it does. Test it to be sure it isn't too light by bumping the pad against the floor several times. If all is good, coat the screws with fingernail polish and you are done.
