Don't trust snopes!!
« on: September 07, 2010, 07:31:57 AM »
A friend of mine, just sent me an email, concerning what contacts obama has had with Kagan, the supreme court nominee. Snopes has on it's web site no professional contact between the 2. So he went to the Supreme Court web site, and looked up dockets and names therin. Low and behold, Kagan was one of the primary lawyers helping the big o hide documents. Now, we all know how the scratch my back, and I'll scratch your's dealings in DC go on. Goes to show ya, don't trust everthing you get on the 'puter as fact. Even from snopes. gypsyman

I bet this is one of those cases of telling a lie by telling the truth.  I would be willing to bet that Kagan and Obama had not met in person, and may not have talked on the phone, exchanged emails, or had any other direct contact, but dealt through 2 or 3 intermediaries.

I never met Dubya/GW/Cheney/etc, but mom met Laura 20 years ago. 2 intermediaries means very little, especially when you are high profile enough to meet several thousand new faces a year.

I never met Günther Lütjens, but he once talked to a man whose granddaughter taught me to ride...

OOPs, sorry, sorry, sorry. Went back and re-read the fine print. Seems Kagan was the solicitor general, whatever that is. And she denied the petitions for any of obama's suits filed against him, to go to the SC. She was the only lawyer on record in the files, in his behalf. Maybe they actually didn't talk with each other, they signed thru the looking glass. gypsyman

Naw, if you read the article, you would see that obama and kagan had to have confered together. Snopes got it wrong. Sorry you can't understand that. But then, I didn't expect you to. gypsyman
