I just renewed my hunting license and all of them, everything, was free!   :o

No lic fee, no WMA fee, no Primitive weapons fee, nothing!

I finally found something good about turning 65...  :-[

In Bama once we turn 65 no hunting license is required just a valid driver's license to show Alabama residency. My last license was the one last year when I was still 64.

I think they know us old farts aren't really much of a threat to the deer anyway so don't bother charging us. In my case they are most likely right. I don't think I've even gone out after deer the last three or four seasons.

I've no private land to hunt and those hills up in the National Forest and WMAs are just not within my physical ability any longer.

Dang Atlaw, you done got old!!! :o  Not that I would rub it in or anything........I'se' still a young sprout, still in my 50's so I can gloat....if I knew what that meant.  I bounce fall out of bed every morn. refreshed confused and ready to face fear the day......

Well anyway, I guess I got something to look forward to other than a discount at Burger King.  It would be nice if they would cancel property tax.....now wouldn't it?
