I shoot the 125gr NBT with H4895 in my 30-30 Handi, 2445fps with a max load using Hodgdon data for the 130gr Speer.

Do you mean Win 748? I use 37.5 gr of 748 and the 125 PSP win or rem bulk bullets in my contender, that works very well for me. The book shows 36-41 gr load range. The TC 14" will group right at an inch with that load for me.

Same load as for a 150gr. wont get you into any trouble.

If you want to stretch it a little, Paco Kelly has a 130 grain load in his article "7.62X51R REVISITED." The Handi barrel and the SB2 receiver should be up to this kind of load - BUT - it is entirely up to your own good judgement.

I shoot 37 gr 748 with the Nosler BT 125s. Very accurate, and knocks them down hard out of a super 14 barrel.

IMO the traditional .30-30 bullets are much more suitable.
