It's going to unnecessarily threaten the lives of our military and civilians working abroad in the countries I have just listed. That good reason for me not to do it. Of course for those who don't have family living and working overseas maybe that means nothing to them.  

Of course what does this so called preacher( a man of God in word only) care safe and snug in FLA.

Pat last time I checked we were not at war with 1.5 billion people spread out over 50+ countries.
I think we were seeking a jerk and his radical followers who needs a dialysis machine and rides a donkey through the mountains , that we cant even seem to find. But I can see how people get confused all those years in Iraq fighting for Big oil , and corporate American contracts guised as liberating us all from WMD (that never existed)helped us take our eye off the real target  - ie: wiping out those responsible for 9/11(which by the way , none of them were Iraqi)

Yes it is worldwide I agree. world wide agaist those radical factions that mean to do us Harm, Not the majority 0f 1.5 billion people who practice a faith we all disagree with.  So lets see Burn their Book , make 1.5 billion hate us , perhaps cause harm to those Americans working abroad, and provide more fodder for the Islamic nutjobs to keep recruitment high for their cause. Make no mistake we are at war with the whole Islamic culture.

    So tell us how to sort out the "radicals"..from the "part-radicals", "potential -radicals" and the "wannabe-radicals"? Should our troops be expected to ask for a terorist I.D. card before they fire back? That kind of fuzzy thinking is just what got our troops having to face the enemy with hands tied with the new "Rules of Engagement", designed by a PC administration and prez who has never served a day.
  In previous conflicts, it was part of what was expected of the the non-combatants, that they would either clear the area or huddle down in a corner etc..plus troops with any honor or sense of manhood, normally tried to not use non-combatants as "human shields" ..especially not women & kids.
  I have heard you condemn this kook from Gainesville, and rightly so,  but the kook from NY City who wants to build a "victory mosque" deserves it just as much..
   The more that Imam clown talks, the more damage he does to his cause..now he threatens that if he doesn't get his way, there will be riots..same riots & mayhem if the Koran burns. It looks like "I get my way or riots and mayhem follow"!
  Most of us get a stiff back when threats are involved..threats work best with liberals.

Appears (at least out of this so called man of God preachers mouth) a deal has been struck, Burning is off, and a commitment to relocate the Mosque has been given.  However , Reuters and major news agencies reporting there is no such deal . (I don't believe it ether , I think it's just a way for him to back down saving face) .

Either way, I'm glad they are not going through with this stupid stunt.

It will be interesting to see this all shakes out.

The Owners of the Mosque have been quoted as saying they have never spoken to this Preacher , and have never committed to any such deal. (I think it's all in this preachers head) .

  this has all been a ruse from the get go.   primary function was to grab attention.  he got that.   secondary function was to force an uncomfortable subject on obama yet again and highlight his muslim roots.   mission accomplished.    third function was to back off once sufficient noise was made, to make them seem reasonable open to arguement.   they got that, too.  fourth reason was to drag the mosque into the debate, and show that just because you can do it, doesnt mean you should.
