Possibly unwise from a safety standpoint (not sure that they care), but regardless, it's not the government's place to say a WORD to these people.  If they want to burn Qurans, that's their business. I don't personally care one way or another about the action itself, but they absolutely have a right to take the action if they wish.

That's right, the government should not say a word, but they stand up for the mosque, but denounces the pastor.  They either stand up for the rights of both or they denounce both.  Better yet just stay out of it.  Which brings me back to my initial point...just because you can doesn't mean you should.

It's not freedom of religion if they are using my tax dollars.  That's forcing something on me with my own money. Doesn't matter what religion either.

Freedom of anything does not include me paying for it, period.  That is what we need to be concentrating on, we could shut down a whole heap of things if our tax money was pulled out of it.  No constitutional debate needed on anything, no personal rights to worry about, no freedom of speech to ponder...just pull our money out and make them all pay for their own stuff.  Less complicated, and nothing to argue about, oh...they just don't have the money. Too bad.

What difference does it make what the FBI did or did not say to him? He backed down from something he "said" he was going to do. Did they take his can of gas and his zippo lighter? WalMart sells lighters and Exxon sells gas.
As far as why the FBI doesn't visit the Imam, you should have long since figured that one out. It is a redundant question with a redundant answer. What you call hatred I call disgust and dismay at what has happened to America. My act of rebellion was for me, not you, or anybody else. If I had a koran I would have gladly burned it, I don't have to go on tv to show God my disgust for that Godless cult. I sincerely doubt the Pastor meant to go public, I'd imagine some of his congregation leaked it. Yes, I believe he was threatened.
