Is this website for and about trappers, both hobby and professionals or some kind of comedyclub/hen party. Earlier I posed a question about cubbies vs. dirtholes hoping to get some input from trappers. I did'nt get a response.If I have the wrong idea about this forum please tell me.

P.S. Maybe emails should be used to just banter about nothing, saving the forum for more serious discussions about trapping...... i.e. animal populations,sets, political climate, etc.

Ken, this forum is and will continue to be a trapping forum.While there is good natured bantering going on __I believe that most who have asked questions on here ,have received answers.
 Many of us on here,have become good friends.It just seems that some teasing back and forth will go on.
 I am sorry you did not get a responce on your questions.I am a trapper and supply dealer,because it is that time of year----I do not get to every question on here.
 I would post my questions again,If I feel my expertise is lacking in a certain aspect--I will leave it for some of our capable members to answer.
 As you can tell by my first post on here, I take this forum very seriously--if I did'nt I would'nt be putting forth the money to sponsor it.While most times I am a lot more serious than many think I should be, I know the others enjoy some good natured picking--and they shall be allowed to do it.
 Trapping is my way of life--It is what I do--and who I am.   Tom

Ken;
  I just replied to your post on cubbies-vs- dirtholes.
  Don't get your hackles up over the joking some of us do.  Yes, we do like talking trapping, but like baseball, trapping should also be fun and not always serious.  We (the members of this forum) have had some very lively debated discussions on various aspects of trapping.  We are serious when we need to be and joke when we like.
  A possibility of reasons your post was not answered yet might be due to the fact that some of the members were/are out all day running trapline.  Some do not visit the forum every few hours but sometimes once or twice each day.  Others may not have an answer so hold their voice.
  Lighten up.  If you see a post where some of us are gouging at each other, and you don't want to be a part of that, just skip that post and go to a different one.  There are often times that I do not have an answer to a question so I just don't post anything and go to one that I might have a small amount of knowledge about.
  That is how this forum works.  No one person knows it all and some (like myself) know very little :lol:   As far as the good natured kidding and fun that is posted-- again, if it offends you, that is to bad, but my friends and I like to have fun as well as being serious.   You see, I can't set around a fur shed at night with RdFx, Newt, or Wackyquacker and tell them they are crazy as an outhouse rat, so we get to do it here.  Almost like home ain't it. :wink:

:) Hocky pucks, good idea RdFx, LOL!

Here I am this week twiddleing my thumbs.  Was all set last Monday to set out a sizable canine/cat line when I sprained my ankle.  Sitting here now  wondering how long it will be before I can handle walking any distance, especially on snowshoes we'll be needing soon. Meantime, I can sit here and daydream while I 'puter trap.  :lol:  Ace
