In the past I have often displayed my dislike for the Kimber pistols, after owning two with ejection problems that after much frustration I traded I ridded myself of all 0f them.
Well, I am again the proud owner of a Kimber, Ultra 10 II, Yesterday morning the wife ask me to stop a garage sale while driving over to our daughter’s house. I reluctantly pulled over so she could take look., I sat in the truck listening to the radio. After a few minutes she came back to the truck and told me there were several really nice guns on one of the tables, I walked over for a look and there lay the little Kimber along with several cheap .22 and a few old shotguns. I picked it up and ask the lady, ‘HOW MUCH,’ she said “all the guns had belonged to her ex-brother-in-law and they were selling them for what ever they could get out of them.’ I again ask, ‘Well, how much for this one/?” She called her sister over and between the two of them they decided the gun was worth $450.00. I took it1 the gun is almost brand new, still in the box and appears to have been fired very little, she gave the remainder of the ammo that was purchased with the gun, there were 14 bullets left in the box.
Last night I gave it a good cleaning now I think I have some things at the farm that need checking on this afternoon……like there ain’t no targets on the hanging on the frames……………
