Congrats on your first mink.  Bet that put a smile on your face when you saw him in your set.  Out of all the critters...mink are my favorite to catch.

Great feeling when you pulled up your trap and saw yr first mink!  I remember mine many years ago that i caught in  a blind set.  They come easier as you go along.  Hope you put some more on stretchers.... Good luck

That was my last mink of THAT year as i  was pulling up traps as  temperature dropped and froze creeks...... nah , nah,   .
Trap15, the  one  thing in trapping alot of mink is you first have to have the mink population and then set alot of traps and PATIENCE....Ive had some traps out 30 days before they connected so hang in there....  Hey Newt your mink snares covered by ALOT of snow LOL :)

Even if it's New Jersey,I still live 45 miles below the Mason/Dixon line And it' cold enough to freeze the Round things off a brass monkey. No snares or traps set yet.Had to guide some hunts.

Tomorrow is the first day of deer season. I'm gona go out and shoot 3 or 4.(unlimited antlerless)Than that will be that. I will put out my line(no competition)latter in the week, when the weather worms up.Coon wont move around here when it gets much below freezing. The fur will be just about as good as it will get,by then anyhow.
