They can smoke, they can drive, they can vote and they can die for their country, but they can't own a handgun.
Makes a lot of sense!

Seems to me like a reasonable thing for the NRA to do... .
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

I'd like to see this pass, also I'd like t see a law allowing service members to have a beer legally. My daughter will be deployed to the middle east next spring and she can't buy a beer or handgun. BS.

It just might have a chance. Lubbock is a pretty conservative area and there have been some good rulings come out of that court before.

Sounds like a good idea to me.  I'm in favor of synchronizing ALL the various ages milestones that apply to adulthood to a single age.  Age to buy tobacco, alcohol, guns (long gun OR handgun), adult material, age of consent, age at which you can be tried as an adult, and draft age.  These are all things that apply to adults, and we should have a fixed and common age for all of them.  18 sounds like a proper milestone for that.

wreckhog. Knock the NRA all ya want if it makes ya feel better. Fact is that without them we'd have lost our 2nd amendment rights to the dems many years ago. They aren't what they used to be but are STILL the best thing we have going for us. POWDERMAN.  :o :o
