6.5 tks
« on: December 05, 2003, 04:25:52 PM »
I'm new to this forum and have read one of the postings on 6.5 on smaller than the .308 cases.

Have not heard of this caliber. Can anyone enlighten me, perhaps even with case specs and dimensions?

Thanks for any help.
Steve

Steve--To help enlighten you and others.  The 6.5 TKS is a 6mm br case necked up to 6.5 mm then blown out just a bit.  It holds a couple grains more of powder than a regular 6.5 br.

Have not received your email.

Thanks for that, but was looking for a bit more specifics. Ie. Case length, shoulder angle, case capacity etc. (a drawing would be good)

Joe: The NSR is $15 per year, published 6 times a year, 16068 FM 2843, Florence, TX 76527 (254) 793-3987      nsreport@dashlink.com
This is the little paper strated by Jim Harris (who posted as "Gun Zorro" on Shooters). It's pretty heavily weighted to handgun silhouette but they're striving for broader coverage and I find it entertaining.

Thought I'd pull this to the top because I noticed that my reply to Drags somehow did not show up on the index. I didn't want him to think I missed his question about the NSR. Also, a new poster has at least some experience with the TKS.
