Well it is clear now at least in New York that the GOP is not interested in listening to the voters . Guess they can't change old habits.

Hang in there.  Conservatives will crawl over broken glass to vote this fall.  We'll be OK.  That said, until our children begin to learn what made this the country the dominant force on the planet, we are doomed to a future of people voting for themselves money from the treasury.

The tea party candidate in Delaware, a Christine O'Donnell, beat the old Rep. in that state for the nomination also. She's more conservative. Maybe the old GOP is getting a wake up call. Your done!! It will be interesting to see how it works out . The old school GOP will lose out if the Tea Party moves ahead. That's a given. Also the dumb-o-crats will lose their partner in crime that's a problem !

I would like to see larger numbers from the tea party get in office this nov. Just a few could well be stonewalled by the "good ol boys club" until the newbees learn to "play by their rules", forcing their corruption on the freshmen.I am not neccessarily pro tea party, but I am sure against the way its been.

Seems lots of people don't have much use for the Republican dino's, they have been as much of the problem as the dems. I would suppose if the older republicans stay there long enough they will slowly turn into good little democrats like McCain and others....Arlen Specter came full circle, the rest might as well too.  We finally got rid of an old republican in Michigan, (retired) he was worthless, or some say he was "moderate"...same thing I reckon.  Glad he is gone.

  Term limits would have to be passed by the house and senate..no way the hacks already ensconced there are going to vote for term limits!  It will have to come from the grass roots..and right now, the Tea Party is our only hope to straighten things out.

      Neither major party "gets it", although they both admit the "independants" will decide this election. The fact is that people have left both the Reps and Dems in droves, and turning independant.
  The Tea Party is now 19% of the electorate...where do you think they came from ? ....And how do you think they will vote ?

As much as it would be desirable to get rid of a lot of the incumbents, I doubt that it would make things better.  I have to wonder who would interupt their real job to take a two, four, or six year gig.  Would Congress be populated exclusively by the idle rich, or by folks who couldn't find a job, or what?  Maybe a lot of retirees would pick up the slack.

I worry that we would get a bunch of ideologues and elite know-it-alls who would be financed by evil Soros types.  Oh wait, that's what we have now.

The trouble between the GOP and the Tea Party is simple. The tea Party people are conservatives, and want less taxes , smaller government and the government out of our lives.
  The old boys club, main stream republicans, could care less what the candidate stands for, as long as they have an R in front of their name. For them it is all about power, If they get enough R's the one's with seniority get to be chairman of the committees. In short power!! Speaker of the house-POWER,
   Same thing with the dumocraps. Except they don't allow their people to not vote the party line.

It's probably OK to say your a republican if you have the strength to vote out a bad one, problem is not many people who attach themselves to a party have that kind of will power.  Much easier to vote out a bad republican and (all democrats) if your not attached to anything at all, or not beholden to any party.
Very few people who are attached to a party can vote against that party.  All they see is the big "R" in front of a name.
