Tumble Lubing, how do you do it, what is needed?
« on: December 24, 2002, 06:46:25 AM »
I've read a few references to this and would like to get a little better understanding. What tools, equipment, supplies etc do I need and how would a person go about tumble lubing cast bullets?

Easiest way to lube but not the cleanest. You need a plastic bowl,a cookiesheet, and Lee liquid alox. Some mineral spirits if you want to thin it. Drop bullets in bowl and alox and swirl.
Dump bullets on cookie shet and let dry.
lead bullets done right

If you use the liquid alox don't put it on to heavily.  Usually what you think is not enough is.  You can thin it with mineral spirits or warm in hot water before using

I use a empty powder bottle to coat my 45's  just drop in a batch add a few drops of lube and roll the bottle around till covered, place lubed bullets on paper towel and let dry overnight.
the bottle is labeled and all you have to do is put the lid on and set on shelf till the next time (on clean-up)
