« on: September 16, 2010, 09:21:02 AM »
I just got into this forum scetion for the sirst time. I have been wanting to add a vietnam style Tomahawk to my collection just because i think they're cool. hates and gripes over tomahawks or likes? Styles you prefer for usefulness or defensive purposes? i've been looking at the SOG fusion not very exspensive but I like it's style.  Anyone chime in on tomahawks in general.

Have a Trail Hawk made by Cold Steel. Handy little creature for carrying on camping trips and such.

Cold steel makes good functional hawks.  Especially with a hammer on the back side.  I like them because they are easy to rehandle, especially in the field, better than a hatchet.  The hammer is good for tent stakes, cracking nuts, etc.  More functional than a Vietnam hawk with a spike on the back side.

Bought a cold steel trailhawk and will give it a good testing period. it seems to be a good sturdy tool.

I ordered two SOG Fusions today one for me and one for a friend. We'll mess with them and let you know what we think when we get one in our hands.
