controlled hunt

 Did anyone draw a controlled hunt? I drew a cow elk hunt at the witchita refuge.Any one else get anything?

I don't even remember the last time I put in.

You better start making some room in the freezer for that critter. ;D

Get you a 25 pound pack and start walking about an hour a day every other day wearing it. Make sure it is adjusted andcomfortable to wear before you head out to Lawton. Those rocky hills are brutal and that is the only way to get around is walking.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.

Also, do not make the same mistake I did.  I ran and ran getting in shape for the hunt.  Needless to say that did not do much good as I needed to be running stadiums.  Going up and down the mountains must use different muscles than just running flat because it was really hard.

Congrats on the draw.

I did draw a doe hunt at Washita as did my son.  I guess I will be there twice this year.
