Ditto on what Mikey says you should see the crap that came out of mine that i didn't see at first. I actually see some rifling now where there wasn't any. The bore is far from excellent but its a shooter non the less. Even some really bad bores can still shoot good.
Give us a range report we know these old 7mm's can shoot good.
Copper fouling; I'm a stickler for leaving my bores dirty after i sight them in at the range(moderm ammo) if i'm going hunting soon with them. I figure its less oil on the bullet so i don't damage the meat. I usually leave my bores dirty for a while, well after hunting season. They during christmas vacation i would take each hunting rifle that i shot and clean it, oil it up for storage till the next hunting season. My point is i seen green tarnish growing inside my barrel when i looked down the muzzle inbetween the rifling. I knew right away it was the copper fouling turning a bluish/green. I got out the orginal G.I. Rifle bore Cleaner and went to work. Using a smaller sized bore brush with a wet patch wrapped around it the copper fouling was removed with very little effort. Now i clean my rifles a little sooner after hunting season, like the minute i get home from hunting now.
I find it funny how the bores are dirty from them test firing the guns when there brand new and there is no copper fouling in them. yet i fire maybe 4rds total and get copper fouling, maybe its build up?
