Some of the achievements further back in their block are misattributed.

The scientific method in particular was founded by the Greeks, not the Arabs.

As a matter of fact many of those look suspect, but I'm not sure enough to call them on it.

Stone them to death if they supposedly commit adultery. "Honor" killings(murder) of them if they supposedly
bring some sort of shame to their family. In some countries they are sold to wealthy men (maggots) in
other countries when they are around 12 years old for whatever disgusting things they have in mind for

The arabs contributed greatly to European culture, much of their contribution was preserving classical learning while western civilization sunk into the dark ages. They also came up with a few things of their own. By about 1450 that ended. European politics stabilized and the culture we have today resulted. Browsing in a book store,  I saw a small book entitled "The 100 Best Scientists in World History."  No blacks. No Muslims. I didn't think such a book could be published in modern Politically correct America.

I'm sure you could (freedom of the press/speech and all that), but it would still be an opinionated piece. I'm sure if YOU published such a book there would be no blacks, Muslims, Hispanics, Asians, orphans, or leapers in the book.  Others who published the book may come up with a different list as it's not as if scientists accrue "scientist points" like they're playing a video game so that you can directly compare them.

There have been a number of black scientists for example.

George Washington Carver - inventor of peanut butter.
Charles Henry Turner - proved that insects can hear.
Percy L. Julian - first to synthesize cortisone, a chemical used to treat arthritis.
Charles Richard Drew - blood plasma researcher and first person to ever setup a blood bank.
Emmett Chappelle - developed a method for instantly detecting bacteria in water, leading to improved detection of urinary tract infections.
Neil deGrasse Tyson - astrophysicist.  Due to many media and public appearances promoting astronomy, he received NASA's Distinguished Public Service Medal.

That's just a small sampling.  What have you achieved in your life (as a member of the obviously superior group) to warrant your status above them?

Thanks for the list of African American scientists.  I never heard of any of them.  No doubt the result of my white racist education that stressed reality and facts  over political correctness.  You cite  Neil deGrasse Tyson.  I didn't realize that making "many media and public appearances" constituted science.  It's more like showmanship and public relations.  Perhaps Tyson is listed in the 100 most important public relations professionals.  I did not see that book.

Also, you didn't list any famous  Hispanic scientists.  Why is that? Are you bigoted against Hispanic scientists, or couldn't you find any?   If you know of any great Hispanic scientists and astronauts please name them.

George Washington Carver did more that invent peanut butter.
He is the father of modern agraculture in showing how to rotate crops, provide the propper elements that some cash crops need to grow and by changing crops from one to another you will greatly increase your yields.  This along with John Deer lead to the over abundance we see in our crops and why we are able to feed most of the world.   Lead to the variety of crops we grow.  lead to the whole science of fertalizers and agro-chemistry.

In what way is a published list of names that you're free to independently verify not "reality and facts"?  It seems that today too many are only interested in "facts" that support their own position, while anything else presented is merely "political correctness".

The man has a PhD in Astrophysics.  He is a scientist, and has been very involved with Astronomy.  He was one of the chief players in the redefinition of planet to define Pluto and other Kuiper Belt objects (as well as some asteroids) as "dwarf planets".  His public relations work is simply what he is most well known for.

An interesting position.  You try to place importance on a period of history that is largely CULTURALLY, not racially, based, and by necessity was limited to a brief time in history (a few hundred years).

Or is the measure of a particular group determined by their number of "great sea captains and voyages of exploration"?  If so then anyone born within the last 200 years or so is in some serious trouble.

I didn't name famous Hispanic scientists because you didn't attack them in that particular post.  Lack of inclusion doesn't indicate bigotry - direct attacks against a group does.

Luis Walter Alvarez - Nobel prize winning physicist.  
Franklin Chang-Děaz - Astronaut.  Veteran of seven NASA space flights and tied for current record on most space flights for any astronaut.
Mario Molina - Nobel prize winning chemist.
Carlos Noriega - Astronaut.  Veteran of 2 shuttle missions.
Ellen Ochoa - Astronaut.  Veteran of 4 shuttle missions.
Severo Ochoa - Nobel prize winning Biochemist.

Ah yes, the assumed "witty" but completely useless statement devoid of any logic that we've come to expect.  The monkeys sent into space were essentially payload.  They served no function other to to see if they'd survive the trip.  The shuttle astronauts have a far more involved role in the operations of that craft.

What about Shelia Jackson Lee, the rep from Houston Tx that asked the guys at NASA that were driving around the Marz rover to drive to where the astranauts planted the flag. 
Austanauts landed on the Moon.  The Rover was on Marz a few million miles away.  You would think these dolts would ask a question of thier staff before asking questions infront of the camera.
